Terms of service

The plain-language agreement between you and Briefwynd Inc. for using the service.

Effective September 14, 2026

1. The service

Briefwynd composes and voices a personal daily audio brief from topics you choose, with a readable version and labeled basis for every item. Free accounts receive a short brief on three mornings per calendar week; paid plans, billed in USD, raise length, frequency, and features as described on the pricing page.

2. Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you suspect misuse. You must be at least 16, or the digital-consent age where you live. You are responsible for what you paste into a morning; do not paste content you have no right to use.

3. The content of briefs

Briefs are composed by AI systems for your personal information. We engineer hard for honesty, including basis labels and a rule against invented breaking events, but composed content can still contain errors, and its basis labels tell you how fresh it is. Briefs are not professional advice: do not treat a chapter as medical, legal, or financial counsel, and verify anything you intend to act on.

Your episodes are yours. Listen, read, quote, and share them freely for personal use.

4. Fair use

Do not abuse the service: no scraping or reselling composed briefs at scale, no attempts to bypass rate limits or plan gates, no using the synthesis endpoints outside the product, and no attempts to make the composer produce content that violates the law or another person's rights.

5. Billing

Paid plans bill in USD through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew until canceled. Cancel anytime from Billing; access runs to the end of the paid period. If a launch-period deployment has checkout disabled, upgrade actions join a waitlist instead and say so.

6. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data immediately. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, with notice and a chance to respond except in cases of clear abuse.

7. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. The boring but real parts

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. If we change these terms materially, account holders get email notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Contact: hello@briefwynd.com, or Briefwynd Inc., 600 Congress Avenue, Suite 1440, Austin, TX 78701.
